Lamiaterra is a farmhouse immersed in biodiversity, among olive trees, fruit trees, flowers and Mediterranean herbs, in the heart of the upper Salento, with 9 beds.
Our guests – groups of friends or families – can stay together, in a traditional, beautiful, stone Lamia, with a Saracen dome, dating back to the early 20th century and once used as a ‘palmento’ (millstone), which has a total of 7 beds, i.e. three double rooms, an alcove with a single bed, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 kitchenette, and a living room.
It is a typical rural dwelling of the Itria Valley, entirely renovated by local craftsmen, with two hectares of land around it, garden orchard and patio.
The stone structure gives the interiors a natural coolness during the summer period. And after all, these ancient lamie were used during the torrid summers precisely as country residences. However, it is equipped with air conditioning. In the winter period it has a heating system.
Lamiaterra has a 13-metre private swimming pool, large equipped green spaces, car parking, an outdoor laundry with washing machine, a barbecue area, and an alarm system connected to the Vigilance Office. The outdoor area is large, equipped and furnished for all needs. It is also possible to accommodate your dog friends, as the entire facility is fenced and surrounded by traditional dry stone walls.
The structure is complete with everything, including bed, bath and kitchen linen, and mosquito nets.
The location is strategic, because we are just a few kilometres from the centre of Ostuni, but very close to the most beautiful villages in the Itria Valley, Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica, Martina Franca, Locorotondo, and about an hour and a half drive to Lecce. The structure is immersed in the peace of the Apulian countryside, among beautiful olive trees and traditional dry stone walls.
It is possible to request an additional bedroom, located in the farmhouse.
